Pedro Sousa Uva

As founder of SUA, I am offering 20 year’s experience in international dispute resolution to my clients. I have dedicated a relevant part of my career to international arbitration and cross-border litigation. I was professionally based in Lisbon, London and I am currently settled in Munich. You may find my complete bio on Linkedin.

Clients know I am not the bureaucratic lawyer, but indeed a problem solver, a good communicator and a fighter either in a judicial court, an arbitral tribunal or at the negotiation’s table, no matter the amount at stake or the profile of the client. Smaller or bigger, clients know they can rely on me.

I have been involved in the arbitration world for many years now. Amongst other things, I founded the first independent international arbitration Review (www.yar.pt) in 2011 and co-chaired a relevant arbitral institution (under forty section of the Portuguese Arbitration Association - APA). I also was a member of APA’s Ethics Committee. I organized international conferences around the world, lately in Vienna, London, São Paulo, Helsinky, Rome, Paris, Munich and Lisbon.

I am a member of the Portuguese Lawyer’s Bar (Ordem dos Advogados) as well as a member of the Munich Bar (Rechtsanwaltskammer für den Oberlandsgerichtsbezirk München), as a Registered European Lawyer in Germany (EURAG).
